The 17th annual Blue Wing Blues Festival in the beautiful Tallman Hotel garden features two great bands each night plus a delicious barbeque dinner. This, the second night of the Festival, features the dynamic Ben Rice and the PDX Hustle.

A Blue Wing favorite, Ben Rice has been leaving huge impressions on audiences around the Northwest and winning awards for his vocals and guitar playing for the last ten years. Since his last Blues Festival appearance in 2022, Ben has formed Ben Rice and the PDX Hustle by adding horns, vocal harmonies, piano and organ for a larger, more energetic sound. The higher-intensity presentation has ben transformative and brings Ben’s music to a whole new level.

Opening for Rice will be local favorite, the Richie Blue Band. Richie is a blistering guitarist, singer, songwriter and bandleader who’s become one of the top drawing acts on the club and festival circuit all over California, the northwestern states, Canada, and Mexico. His brand of music although rooted in the blues, is a blend of rock-a-billy, country swing, New Orleans swamp, and soul. Joining Richie tonight will be ‘Doc’ Ron Morse on bass and drummer Frank Boen.
