It’s the start of “Whiskey Month” at the Tallman and Blue Wing. On Saturday afternoon October 28, we offer two hands-on seminars in Riffe’s Meeting House with experts Sherry Monahan and Jane Perkins, authors of the authoritative volume The Golden Elixir of the West: Whiskey and the Shaping of America.
At 1:00 PM is Whiskey 101: Moonshine to Malts covering the history of whiskey together with an educational tasting and food pairing. Price $35 per person.
At 3:00 PM is Whiskology which discusses the best ways to drink the golden elixir and allows participants to create their own whiskey cocktail. Price $30 per person.

The Hotel is also offering a Whiskey’d Away Package consisting of a two night stay plus two tickets to the Saturday events plus a copy of the Golden Elixir book, all for a price of $440.
The next Whiskey Month event will be Saturday November 4 at 1:00 PM when famed distiller Crispin Cain of the American Craft Whiskey Distillery in Redwood Valley presents a seminar entitled Why Rye.
